What could we discover?

THE 50
SIGNALS_

50 BREAKTHROUGHS.
ONE HUMAN STORY.

Fifty places. Fifty breakthroughs. A hidden atlas of human ingenuity — from our earliest discoveries to the frontiers of possibility.

The 50 Signals are a curated tribute, not a definitive historical ranking. Some coordinates identify documented sites; others indicate a related city or institution. Several breakthroughs were collective achievements.

A HUMAN-CENTERED INITIATIVE / IN DEVELOPMENT

PICTURE
YOUR FUTURE.

Before we ask children what they want to become, we should show them what they're capable of becoming.

Experiential learning through creative challenges, mentorship, science, storytelling, and meaningful projects — helping young people explore what they can do and decide what matters to them.

SOME QUESTIONS ARE
TOO IMPORTANT TO
LEAVE UNASKED.

Curiosity is a resource. Responsibility is a choice. Possibility is something we explore together.

THE THINKTANK AI LABS
MANIFESTO

Some questions are too important to leave unasked.

001 / CURIOSITY

Every breakthrough begins with a question.

Not always a brilliant question. Not always a popular question. Sometimes simply a question nobody thought was worth asking.

We believe curiosity is one of humanity's greatest resources. And we believe it should never be wasted.

002 / INTELLIGENCE

Intelligence is not defined solely by what we know. It is reflected in our ability to question, learn, connect ideas, recognize patterns, and imagine possibilities beyond what already exists.

Artificial intelligence offers extraordinary new tools. But technology alone is not progress.

Progress is what happens when intelligence serves humanity.

003 / POSSIBILITY

Somewhere, a child has an ability they have not yet discovered.

Somewhere, a scientific question remains unanswered because nobody has examined it from another perspective.

Somewhere, a solution exists at the intersection of two disciplines that rarely speak to each other.

We exist to explore those intersections. To challenge assumptions. To connect what appears unrelated. To ask: What if? And then to ask something harder: How would we find out?

004 / RESPONSIBILITY

Discovery without responsibility is incomplete.

We believe powerful technologies should expand human opportunity, not diminish human dignity. We believe knowledge should be challenged by evidence. We believe ideas should be tested, questioned, and improved.

And we believe that the people affected by innovation deserve a voice in shaping it.

005 / THE HUMAN ELEMENT

Behind every dataset is a world of human experience. Behind every algorithm is a decision about what matters. Behind every breakthrough is an opportunity to make something better.

Our interests may span artificial intelligence, behavioral science, education, agriculture, and the future of technology. But our direction remains constant.

People first. Possibility always.

006 / THE UNKNOWN

We do not claim to possess all the answers. In fact, we believe certainty can sometimes be the greatest obstacle to discovery.

We are willing to be wrong. We are willing to experiment. We are willing to follow evidence into unexpected territory.

Because the unknown is not something to fear. It is something to explore.

007 / THE FUTURE

The future is not a destination waiting for us. It is shaped by the questions we ask, the choices we make, and the things we dare to create.

We believe the next meaningful breakthrough could come from anywhere. A laboratory. A classroom. A conversation. An unexpected idea. Or someone who was simply curious enough to look closer.

The future belongs to no single technology, institution, or generation. It belongs to all of us.
